Fund The Arts Motion Reception

Please join MPP Jill Andrew on Wednesday, December 4th at 4 PM as the Ontario Legislature debates Motion 149 in support of increased arts, culture, and heritage funding!

 

Join us to show the government that the arts MATTER to the communities they represent. We fund them or we lose them! It's their choice. 

 

A reception will be held from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Refreshments will be served. 

 

Debate begins at 6:00 PM. 

 

RSVPs are required for entry. All are welcome!

Guests will enter via the main security entrance on the southwest side of the building. A piece of government-issued photo ID is required. 

 

Motion 149 MPP Jill Andrew (Toronto—St. Paul's)

That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should immediately adopt the recommendations of the arts, culture, and heritage sector by permanently increasing, indexed to inflation, the annual operating budgets of the Ontario Arts Council, Experience Ontario, Community Museum Operating Grant, Ontario Creates, Ontario's public library funding, reviewing the Status of Ontario's Artists Act, 2007 and ensuring real affordable housing and workspaces.
